Take a Trip Down Vegan Avenue

One of my main goals with Grandermarnier is to help other vegan brands and companies get the recognition they deserve for the work they’re doing, and to help them be found by vegans and veg-curious people. So when I was approached by the Founder of Vegan Avenue and asked to share their website with my readers I was very happy to be able to help out.

In this blog I want to take a trip down Vegan Avenue with you and tell you all about this website and why you need to check them out. We’ll look at what you can expect from the website, what information is available and how you can use this platform to help you navigate your vegan journey, no matter how new you are to the vegan lifestyle!

What is Vegan Avenue?

Vegan Avenue is a new online vegan lifestyle magazine that shares information about vegan products ranging from clothing to beauty, and recommends the best vegan brands to check out. This magazine provides a safe space for vegans to research products before you buy, knowing that everything you’re seeing is not only cruelty-free, but vegan as well. Some sites can be confusing as they promote cruelty-free products that may not be vegan, and for anyone new to the vegan lifestyle this can be very difficult to navigate.

Vegan Avenue is a beautiful lifestyle guide that promotes vegan, sustainable products and helps you shop in a way that is more aligned with your own ethics and beliefs. Vegan Avenue also believes in promoting small brands that may have a smaller budget, giving them the visibility they need to reach more customers.

Who is behind the magazine?

Vegan Avenue was founded by Liis Hainla, the former Estonian Communications Manager of Anima International. Through her activism, Liis has become a strong advocate for farm animal welfare across the world and she currently lives in the magical European town of Tartu, Estonia.

A vegan herself for eight years, Liis set up Vegan Avenue to educate people on the vegan lifestyle and help them find the best vegan and cruelty-free products for them. Through the online magazine, Liis aims to connect with people that lead an urban life like herself and who value quality, minimalism, sustainability, and great design. She also helped launch a sustainable vegan shoe brand, Kira Shoes.

Liis describes herself as a writer, marketer, traveler, and above all, a devoted vegan and animal lover. In her free time, you can see Liis strutting the cobblestones with a strong Americano in one hand and her (way too spoiled) rescue pooch Emma in the other.

What can you expect to find on their website?

Vegan Avenue knows that the modern consumer needs products to be vegan, high-quality, sustainable, ethical, and tailored to their unique needs. And, luckily, there are now plenty of companies who can offer that. This magazine provides a platform for these companies to be showcased and offers the consumer the opportunity to learn more about their ethics and what they’re doing to help the planet, from sustainable product design to reducing their carbon footprint.

On the website you can find detailed guides on a range of different topics, including fashion, makeup, skincare, and nutrition. Each topic will then offer you more specific breakdowns of these categories, so it’s incredibly simple to find information on exactly what you’re looking for! For example, if you’re looking for a new lipstick, you just go to ‘Makeup’ then select ‘Vegan Lipstick’ from the dropdown menu and you’ll find a complete guide to vegan lipsticks, including what makes a lipstick vegan, the best brands offering vegan lipsticks and even things like ‘most affordable lipsticks’ or ‘hypoallergenic lipsticks’. There is no shortage of information on each and every category of this website.

Who is Vegan Avenue for?

Vegan Avenue is made for urban vegan women and men and who are brand-conscious and eco-conscious. Nowadays, we’re all trying to shop more consciously and do our bit for the environment, so having a website like Vegan Avenue is the perfect solution for anyone trying to buy better! This website is ideal for anyone, whether you’re vegan or not, as it will help you be more aware of what goes into your products before you buy them, and help you make more conscious decisions.

While shopping less (especially when it comes to clothes) is the first step in becoming more sustainable, buying products that have been produced without harming or killing animals is vital if you’re trying to reduce your environmental impact. Raising animals for animal agriculture is one of the leading causes of the climate crisis, and whether people then use their skin for shoes or their fat for a foundation, they cannot disregard the damage that’s been done by using the animal in the first place.

People are often willing to pay more for a product that meets their expectations in terms of sustainability, animal welfare and being ethically produced. Vegan Avenue’s goal is to be the guide that matches consumer’s expectations with reality, in an entirely vegan way. That being said, there are plenty of low-cost and affordable vegan products out there, and Vegan Avenue can help you find them.

Why you should check out Vegan Avenue!

When I was just starting out as a vegan back in 2015, I would have loved to have a website like this available so I could access information on vegan products all in one place. Shopping for animal-free clothes or trying to hunt down a new vegan foundation was such an effort back then, and it would have made my life a lot easier if I'd had Vegan Avenue around to help. The hours of Googling ‘what is carmine?’ or ‘is silk vegan?’ and trying to wade through pages of information looking for a definitive answer certainly made my early vegan life more stressful than it needed to be!

I would highly recommend this website to any new vegans or people interested in shopping cruelty-free and sustainably, as this site offers so much information and guidance on such a wide range of products, you’ll easily find the answers to your questions.

If you know anyone that’s new to veganism and is struggling to know what to look out for in products or which brands are vegan, why not send them this blog and help them find the answers they’re looking for?
