Hi guys!

Welcome to my blog, Grandermarnier. I’m Sarah, 29 years old, born and raised in Bristol and a Fashion Design grad. After watching Cowspiracy in 2015 and making the switch from vegetarian to veganism, I started to notice how many animal products were in the items we use every day. From beauty products and cleaning supplies to the clothes we wear. I started this blog because I wanted to talk about how animals are used for fashion, and what the alternatives are. When I first went vegan there was hardly any information out there on what to look for when vegan shopping, what different animal materials could be lurking in clothes and which brands offer sustainable vegan clothing. I want Grandermarnier to be your go-to place for information on vegan sustainable fashion and a super useful resource to help you build a conscious wardrobe.

Vegan sustainable fashion is about way more than just ‘vegan alternatives’. It is pioneering textile technology, ethical supply chains and earth-conscious production methods. I believe for a brand to be truly sustainable; they not only have to reduce its impact on the planet, but it also needs to be actively giving back too. In my blog I talk about these kinds of brands, as well as how to shop vegan fashion and avoid animal materials in clothes, what makes a material sustainable or not, and tips on how to make the most of the clothes you already own. Don’t forget to check out the brand page, where you can find an A-Z of vegan sustainable brands handpicked and researched by myself – so you don’t have to!

Writing about vegan fashion is my personal form of activism and I hope that my words can inspire people to make some small changes to their life and maybe even consider leaving animal products out of their wardrobes for good!
